The newly formed Temporary has defeated UMX.us to win the American qualifier for the Intel Extreme Masters Global Challenge Guangzhou.

Temporary went through the qualifier undefeated, after successfully defeating We Go Hard 16-9 and 16-7 in their opening round matches yesterday. Today they faced UMX.us in the final, who was also undefeated as they moved past Backfire in their round one clash.

Temporary went on to defeat UMX.us 16-4 on de_tuscan and 16-14 on de_inferno to wrap up the event only days after the team was formed.

Temporary will now have the oppotunity to represent the United States of America in the upcoming IEM Guangzhou Global Challenge which will take place on October 1-5 and will hand out a total of $40,000 for the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament.

This could mark the return of Danny "fRoD" Montaner, Tyler "Storm" Wood and David "Xp3" Garrido to China, after they took part in the MSI BEAT IT event in Beijing last year. An event both Montaner and Wood went on to win with their former team Evil Geniuses. Will Temporary be able to reproduce the same form in China again?
